- To have available at least 25m2 of south facing (preferently) roof space or terrace space, with minimum shadows (poles, trees, chimneys, ...)
- All energy production is sold to the grid
- To have at least 2m2 of solar thermal panels for domestic hot water (except condominiums). In the latter case, it must be requested an energy audit.
Grants and Fiscal Benefits (Portugal)Residential Clients:
- 13% VAT (Portugal mainland) for renewable energy systems and solutions.
- 30% I.R.S. deduction, up to €803 (2010), for solar thermal and solar photovoltaic expenses.
- No I.R.S. tax for micro-production income below €5000.
