Global Warming

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation.

Most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century was caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases, which results from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation.

Human activity since the Industrial Revolution has increased the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, leading to increased radiative forcing from CO2, methane, tropospheric ozone, CFCs and nitrous oxide. The concentrations of CO2 and methane have increased by 36% and 148% respectively since 1750. These levels are much higher than at any time during the last 650,000 years, the period for which reliable data has been extracted from ice cores.

Greenhouse gases are gases in an atmosphere that absorb and emit radiation within the thermal infrared range. This process is the fundamental cause of the greenhouse effect. The main greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and ozone (O3).

The greenhouse effect is a process by which radiative energy leaving a planetary surface is absorbed by some atmospheric gases, called greenhouse gases. They transfer this energy to other components of the atmosphere, and it is re-radiated in all directions, including back down towards the surface. This transfers energy to the surface and lower atmosphere, so the temperature there is higher than it would be if direct heating by solar radiation were the only warming mechanism.

Object Life Cycle

Most objects that we use nowadays and throw into the trash have a life cycle that is unknown for most of us.

See this great video and think about the direction the world is taking.

Many people doing small changes in their life can change the world. Be envolved !!

If you want to participate but don´t know where to start, here is a starting point

Sustainable Planet

To combat global warming we need to rethink our philosophy of life. We must follow a sustainable lifestyle, especially with regard to energy, water and pollution.

  • We need to increase global production of renewable energy.
  • It's necessary to switch to less polluting vehicles.
  • It's necessary to reduce water consumption to the essential.
  • It's necessary to reduce our carbon footprint

At Solar One we are committed to these purposes and our goal is to have all our activities harmless to the planet.
As result we offset all our carbon dioxide emissions and we are very proud to be Carbono Neutro/Carbon Neutral.

If your company wants to be Carbono Neutro/Carbon Neutral, we can help you. Contact us
